Mestifonía
Mestifonía
Mestifonía is a Minnesota-based group that blends Colombian, Bolivian, and American talent. The group plays music from the Iberian Peninsula and South America, bringing to life the sounds of fado, flamenco, cueca, tango, and more. Singer Paula Argüello (Colombia) and guitarist Gabo Blondel (Bolivia) met at McNally Smith College of Music. They came together out of a shared love for the folk music of South America and the desire to learn the music of the Iberian Peninsula, a place that so deeply influenced the history and culture of South America. The talented duo then invited cellist Julia Floberg (Minnesota) into the group, creating additional layers of timbre and cultural fusion.

Delphia Cello Quartet is an all-female ensemble based in Minneapolis, MN. The group plays original arrangements from a wide range of repertoire, including Bach, Broadway, Elvis, Prince, Beyonce, and more. The four cellists, Rachelle LaNae Smith, Rosa Thompson-Vieira, Katherine Canon, and Julia Floberg, came together out of a desire to play fun music with other female musicians. Though they play all sorts of music, they especially enjoy featuring female artists in their repertoire.
