Eliza Edens
Eliza Edens
Eliza Edens is a Berkshires-bred, Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter. Born to a gardener & a journalist who would blast The Beatles, Canned Heat, & Peter, Paul and Mary during car rides to-and-from their rural Massachusetts home, it’s fitting that Eliza is a musician who takes an observational approach to the natural world around her. Combining adventurous fingerpicking with a knack for heart-tugging melody, Eliza writes songs that swell into meditations on memory, nature, time, love, and loss -- belonging somewhere between your tumbledown front porch stoop and a hazy bar in the big city. She is a grantee of Club Passim’s 2017 Iguana Music Fund and is currently working on a debut record.
Hemma
Hemma
Hemma's songs float melodies that characterize American Country music, while sustaining a penchant for the modern touch of synthesized sound. Swedish for 'at the home of one's parents', Hemma practices this craft with deep respect for the authenticity of the homespun song. Having grown up in a musical family, with whom she recorded 10 albums by the age of 15, Hemma is at home in the studio, on stage, on tour, and in song.
Adelyn Rose
Adelyn Rose
Adelyn Rose is a Minneapolis based indie rock band fronted by Addie Strei on guitar and synth. The project line up and instrumentation ranges from ambient solo performance featuring guitar loops and woodwinds to a full band arrangement with Leo Strei (bass) and Dave Power (drums), Addie’s songwriting is consistently catchy but not often predictable. Her background in jazz saxophone, residencies in New York and Berlin, and experience playing as a multi instrumentalist in several bands such as Yohuna (NYC), Bathtub Cig, Pat Keen and P•PL (MPLS), and The Island of Dr. Lee (Eau Claire), has helped her become a versatile songwriter. Sometimes compared to Grouper, Sharon Van Etten and Mazzy Star, Adelyn Rose has similarly soothing, melancholy tendencies but with an experimental edge finding its way to a listener in an unexpected chord, a woodwind entrance, a dissonant synth line.
