Sam Moss
Sam Moss is a Boston based songwriter and string player. His work rambles through various offshoots of Americana, from original and interpreted folk songs, to pastoral and occasionally jagged instrumental guitar. In addition to eight solo albums, Moss has released two albums with the old-time group, The Howling Kettles, and compiled Imaginational Anthem Volume Five for Tompkins Square Records.

In 2012 he was in residence at The MacDowell Colony. His work has been featured in No Depression, Pitchfork, The FADER, Paste, and WFMU, among others.
Her Crooked Heart
Her Crooked Heart
HER CROOKED HEART is the new music of Rachel Ries – multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, rock & roll choir director, sideman, singer. Her Crooked Heart’s debut EP, To Gentlemen, and forthcoming album, To Love To Leave To Live, feature members of Bon Iver, Shane Leonard and string arrangements by the inimitable Rob Moose.

Along with numerous and diverse collaborators through the years, Rachel has proven herself ever-curious to expand her sound, her scope, and sail on past the confines of ‘singer-songwriter.’ After all, sometimes what the heart wants is poetry and a syncopated horn line; a string section and a bass synth – all leaving exultation and devastation in their wake. This tour features collaborations with Siri Undlin (Humbird), Hilary James (We Are the Willows, Figi 13, Bathtub Cig), and Hayley Sabella – collectively a delectable palate of electric guitar, piano, harmony, synth, flute, classical guitar, cello and lyrical curiosities.

But one thing has remained true since RR’s first homespun release: her sly and compassionate voice, excavating the depths of an all-too-human heart, armed with levity and a pen. It’s the messy humanity that’s of interest here. The trying and failing; the loving and losing and loving again. The choosing to be brave even when you’re shaking in your tattered boots. So please, make welcome: Her Crooked Heart. She’s been here all along.

Ben Cosgrove
Ben Cosgrove is a traveling composer-performer whose music explores themes of landscape, place, and environment in North America. Ben has performed his "electric and exhilarating" instrumental music in every U.S. state except Delaware and Hawaii, and held artist residencies and fellowships with institutions including the National Park Service, the National Forest Service, Harvard University, Middlebury College, the Schmidt Ocean Institute, and the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology.

His 2017 album "Salt," which compares feelings of ungroundedness, loss, and confusion to landscapes of flux and ambiguity, was described by Seven Days as a "majestic entry into the composer's catalog... replete with near-imperceptible embellishments and forward-thinking concepts." Junction Magazine called the album "a poetry of tones and turns and motion and play that transcends the gross signification of everyday language," and both Sound of Boston and Red Line Roots deemed it one of the best local releases of the year.
