New Insect Overlords
New Insect Overlords
New Insect Overlords consist of Gary Krainak, Steve Michels-Boyce, and Paul Shambroom. They play originals and occasional covers rearranged beyond recognition. The band abuses many musical genres including folk, country, blues, pop, and jazz. The "O-Lords", as they are sometimes called by no one other than themselves, play a shifting assortment of upright and electric bass, guitar, ukulele, dobro, harmonica, melodica, and percussion. Previously known as "Cruel Haiku" and "Standard Deviation", they periodically change their name to confound critics and stay one step ahead of trouble.

Wilkinson James
Wilkinson James is the band project of Twin Cities-based singer-songwriters Liz Wilkinson and AJ Scheiber, who blend their love of folk, honky-tonk, and jazzy torch songs into a sound that one fan once described as “the bastard offspring of June Carter Cash and Townes Van Zandt.” They have released to albums to date--the self-titled "Wilkinson James," produced by Romantica's Ben Kyle (2014), and the more recent "Abandon" (2016). Songs from both records have been playlisted on 89.3 The Current and numerous Americana-themed radio outlets around the country. Their performance at the Warming House will feature their classic-sounding original tunes and tightly knit male-female harmonies, embellished by an intimate band that adds smoky saxophone to their folk and country roots.
